Cops ID 2 Killed In Crash Near Garden State Parkway

Authorities have identified the two Baltimore residents killed when their car was struck by a pickup that drove off the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls on Saturday.

Daniela Acevedo, 35, and Angel Luis Acevedo, 40, were pronounced dead after the pickup veered off the Parkway, over a patch of grass and onto Asbury Avenue at about 7:30 p.m., the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The driver of the pickup, a 33-year-old Toms River man, gave police his cell phone and allowed them to draw blood for a toxicology test, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Kristian DeVito at 1-800-533-7443.
